Hey Jessie!

I simply love the convergence of humanity and earth/nature in “Under the skin of the sky” and “… ragged edges of neglectful fields”.

The PT in me especially loves, “noursh your bones” and “… between heartbeats”.

The poet/philosoher in me loves the incredibly heartfelt weaving of beauty and suffering, and the necessites of both solitude and connection.

Beautiful!

Thanks Jessie, what a beautiful poem and such a great invitation to cherish the wonders of the present moment and find love there <3 I also love that the whole poem is a simple invitation to wisdom and awakening maturity. It's like, "no rush, when you're ready, love is right here."

I can feel the connection to nature.

This was my favorite line, "to know that being lost is just another way / of finding places in yourself that maps have not named."

Thank you for reading, John! I love nature and I am glad that came through for you. Here’s to finding more places in ourselves that haven’t been named yet.

Reading this poem urges me to go sit outside, next to our towering oak trees, under the beaming full moon, surrounded by croaking and singing, and open every cell of my body to the glorious movement of the universe

Thank you for the reminder to take it all in!
